The Star of Chios folk embroidery PDF pattern features a striking design of eight-pointed stars set within octagons which are then bordered with doubled squares. Inspired by a 17th century embroidery from the Greek island of Chios, the eight-pointed star was prized as a symbol of renewal and celestial harmony. Shown finished as a wall hanging, it can also be finished as a cushion cover or framed.
