Varying lengths of stitches are worked to create elaborate geometric patterns of diamonds, chevrons, and stylized florets. These historic motifs are stitched in a traditional palette of coral red, deep green, and warm blue and finished as a fringed table runner. A wonderful project to bring folk textile charm to your home! The 26ct Traditional Groundcloth has a unique texture that is very characteristic of folk embroidery, and the easy fringe finish makes this an ideal introduction to this historic technique.
